We are seeking experienced Safety Officer who have previous experience in the following areas of construction, to oversee various projects across Australia;

  • Commercial;
  • Industrial; and
  • Mining and civil infrastructure.

Applicants will report directly to their Divisional Manager and work with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to support them in the day to day operation and to maintain and promote Work Health and Safety.

It is desirable that all applicants have a relevant tertiary qualification / tickets in OHS or previous proven experience. You must have competent computer literacy skills, ability to develop rapport with all site personnel and have a strong knowledge of safety regulations and legislations.

Boilermaker / Welders - Kingsford SA

Due to increasing demand, we are seeking the services of experienced Boilermakers to join our modern structural steel workshop on a permanent basis located at Kingsford, 10 minutes from Gawler.

To be successful in this role you must be a 1st Class Tradesperson and have demonstrated experience in fabricating and welding to 4100 and 1554 Australian standards of compliance.

Boilermakers / Welders must:
  • Be trade qualified and certified in boilermaking / welding;
  • Be able to read, interpret and fabricate from workshop drawings;
  • Be qualified in the mig weld process and the ability to perform full strength butt welds;
  • Have previous experience in structural steel;
  • Adhere to OH&S practices; and
  • Be organised and productive.

HSE Manager - D&C WA

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager for our Mining and Construction Operations throughout Western Australia on a 12-month contract to oversee projects with our client BHP Billiton.

As the HSE Manager you will lead and manage a team of safety officers and support the Site Managers to ensure compliance with all our company’s policies and procedures in environment, health and safety. You will also ensure compliance with BHP Billiton procedures and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage a team of safety officers and provide support to site management;
  • Manage and coordinate the set up of BHP Billiton pre-mobilisation meetings;
  • Assist the project team in investigation of all project incidents and ensure proper records are completed and submitted;
  • Assist in the implementation of corrective actions and ensure they are communicated throughout the division and the company;
  • Devise, supervise and coordinate training programs and take a lead in the promotion of HSE awareness;
  • Participate and coordinate safety meetings across project locations ;
  • Review all reporting and record keeping requirements for Ahrens and BHP Billiton to ensure all project sites are compliant;
  • Stay up to date with all current and emerging legislations; and
  • Conduct project site audits.

As the successful candidate you will have formal HSE qualifications or equivalent and previous BHP Billiton mine site experience in mining construction. This role requires a results-driven person that has a proven track record in delivering results.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration on a minimum 12-month contract and FIFO roster from Perth.

Paint Line Manager - Steel, Kingsford SA

We are seeking the services of an experiences Paint Line Manager to manage and oversee our shot blast and paint line facility located as Kingsford, 10 minutes from Gawler.

Our world-class paint line facility specialises in industrial painting including zincs and multi-coat epoxy paint systems to offer our clients a high level of service, quality and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Paint line scheduling, in consultation with the Production Manager, to optimise paint line performance, and quality and meet the production deadlines;
  • Daily operation of shot blast and paint line production;
  • Maintenance and troubleshoot of the paint line facility;
  • Manage budgets and completed associated reporting and administration;
  • Monitor and report all pain line functions, including all production and QA reports;
  • Recommendation of new procedures to ensure continuous improvement within the paint line facility; and
  • Supervision and training of paint line staff.

The successful applicant will have previous experience in leading a Paint Line team and ideally have NACE Certification -CPI Level 1. Attention to detail, excellent leadership and communication skills and a commitment to OHS are essential requirements.

Production Administrator - Steel, Kingsford SA

We require an experienced, enthusiastic and hands-on Production Administrator to work at our world-class steel fabrication facility located at Kingsford, 10 minutes from Gawler.
 
As the Production Administrator, you will report directly to the Production Manager and provide operational and administrative support to the production team in the day to day running of our steel fabrication plant.
 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Providing administration support to the Production Manager and the production team;
  • Assisting with the daily functions of production, including drawing take offs and data entry;
  • Accurate data entry of all supplier invoices and managing the invoice approval process;
  • Managing and maintaining production files and drawing controls as well as administering the document control process.
Key Criteria:
  • Experience in a similar supporting role within steel or manufacturing industry;
  • High level of experience and competency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise work;
  • The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers;
  • Previous experience in Pronto would be an advantage.

  • Maximise project profitability and assume overall accountability for the delivery of the projects;
  • Manage any variances or enquiries from the client and provide accurate information;
  • Maintain effective communication with site supervisors,site personnel, sub-contractors and the client to ensure professional and cooperative relationships are maintained;
  • Ensure all occupational health, safety and environmental requirements are understood and fulfilled;
  • Competently deal with industrial relations issues as required.
This role requires an experienced and results-driven person with a sound knowledge of building principles and a proven track record of delivering multiple project simultaneously.
