This project entailed the design and construction a new, purpose-built distribution centre for Toll NQX in the Vicinity Industrial Estate in South Australia. The building consists of a large 7,000-square-metre warehouse with four recessed receival doors and 12-metre openings at either end to provide drive-through access for B Double trailers. A series of outloading bays, covered by a cantilevered awning, run the full length of the building.
Internally, Custom Engineered Building design technology has maximised clear span areas of 18 metres in the centre of the warehouse.
The completed facility includes a substantial hardstand area of more than 7,000 square metres and an 800-square-metre office building.
