Double the impact with double tenancy

Ahrens made double the impact when they successfully ticked all the boxes for this twin tenancy for leading Australian retailers, Supercheap Auto and Petbarn.

Ahrens were engaged by local developer Ednif Pty Ltd to design and construct a 1900m2 large format retail outlet on North East East Road at Holden Hill, South Australia.

The scope of works for Petbarn consisted of a 1123m2 retail space, which included a large retail open area, dog wash, dog grooming salon, staff room, manager’s office, amenities, high racked storage room and a provision for a vet clinic.

Temperature control within the tenancy was crucial to ensure the comfort of customers as well as pets on site.

The Supercheap Auto facility measured 777m2 and consisted of an open-plan retail tenancy, a 15m2 management office, lunchroom and toilets.

As part of the scope, Ahrens completed T-ceilings, high performance epoxy floors, reverse-cycle airconditioning and internal and external painting in Supercheap Auto’s branding colours.

This was a full turnkey project with Ahrens also responsible for the supply and install of a new transformer and power supply along with carpark, retaining walls and stormwater.

The team worked hard to deliver this project on time and to the client’s satisfaction with the end result, an attractive retail centre that met all the end-users’ requirements.
