Good things come in threes

Following the successful completion of a project for client Jane Darveniza in Brisbane, Ahrens were engaged to design and construct three buildings on separate adjacent allotments in Paget Industroplex Estate in Mackay, Queensland.

The client required the buildings to maximise warehouse space and Ahrens worked closely with Mackay Regional Council to put forward several design options that met development regulations.

Scope of works included all civil works, construction of the three buildings, internal fit-outs, and hydraulic, electrical and fire services as well as external hardstand and carparking.

The completed warehouses, with adjoining two storey offices and undercover carparking, have a total building area of 10,000m², providing the three tenants with valuable storage and operating capacity.

Two of the three buildings also required the inserting of parting walls to enable future separations and multiple tenants.

Despite being in an industrial setting, Ahrens were able to create a vibrant and aesthetically pleasing result for the client.
