Graincorp
Ahrens was engaged to relocate and expand a container packing facility for Graincorp Containerlink in Brisbane, QLD. As a result of this project, the client has integrated all of its activities in one location, resulting in more effective use of storage space and increased productivity. Ahrens was able to provide a more accurate costing for the facility than its competitors, which was a significant factor in winning the contract.

Famson Lump Breaker
Hi-Fert Pty Ltd required a lump breaking system to ensure stored fertiliser was distributed to clients without lumps. Ahrens developed a machine that automatically breaks up lumps, re-coats them in oil and passes them through a screen ready for distribution. Fertiliser is loaded into the 'Lump Breaker' via a front end laoder, and processed at a rate of 100 tonnes per hour, saving time and eliminating wastage.
