Beverley Recycling & Waste Centre

Ahrens Design & Construct SA team were engaged to design, supply and install a waste transfer shed and e-waste canopy structure as part of a redevelopment of Beverley Recycling & Waste Centre. The facility owned by the City Of Charles Sturt council included the new waste centre with disposal area and a Sort 'n' Save recycling process to accommodate expanded operations as well as offer improved customer service and site safety.
The facility complies with Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and Work Health Safety requirements.
Linfox Distribution Centre

This project for the Goodman Group in the Acacia Link Industrial Estate, gave us the opportunity to design and construct two large-scale warehouses for the Linfox Transport Group. Over two sites, the complex consisted of a series of warehouses, offices and service buildings. It enabled the client to have five separate businesses together in one location.
As well as a 20,000-square-metre warehouse, there are four office buildings, a workshop, truck wash, container wash and a truck refuelling facility. The adjacent site includes a 10,000-square-metre warehouse and an office built ‘on spec’.
TOLL ROUS HEAD INDUSTRIAL PARK

This multi-million-dollar project was for the design and construct of a new intermodal freight facility at the Port of Fremantle. The new facility for Toll Group, in partnership with Fremantle Ports Authority, needed to provide storage and access for importers and exporters utilising Toll’s national freight network.
Scope of works for the 4.3-hectare site in Rous Head Industrial Park included a 6,000 square metre warehouse and cross dock, 2,500 twenty-foot equivalent unit (teu) of hardstand for the container park, quarantine and fumigation services, and a public weighbridge - the only one at the port. The facility also includes energy efficient features such as LED lighting and rainwater harvesting and recycling.
DHL Exel Office and Warehouse

This project for leading developer the Goodman Group, included a substantial warehouse and office facility for end-user DHL Exel. Our project and site teams worked to an extremely tight construction program which was achieved by supplying steelwork direct from our own manufacturing facility in South Australia.
The scope of works included the installation of Alucobond cladding on the office facade and landscaping of the site, contributing to a stand-out facility in the Edinburgh Park industrial estate.
Kerry Logistics Distribution Warehouse

Kerry Logistics specialises in container logistics and freight storage for the international market, requiring substantial warehousing. This project entailed the design and construction of an 8,500-square-metre warehouse and a neighbouring two-storey office building to house the client’s new head office.
The client’s requirements included three loading docks, significant hard stand areas totalling 6000 square metres, and a cantilever awning running the full length of the warehouse. Ensuring the exterior colours were in line with the client’s corporate branding was also a requirement, which resulted in vibrant, visually-striking exterior walls.
Ahrens was able to complete the new warehouse and despatch building while the existing facility remained operational at all times during construction.
Metcash Dry Goods Warehouse and Coolroom (NT)

This full turn-key design and construct project consists of a dry store warehouse, freezer and coolroom warehouse, a canopy and loading dock and despatch and administration offices. We worked to a tight construction program to deliver a modern facility which incorporates the latest technology.
The substantial wholesale grocery warehouse in the Darwin Business Park is leased by Metcash Trading as part of a major business initiative involving the Arnhemland Progress Association. The income from the lease subsidises produce sold in stores throughout Arnhemland.
