Ahrens Melbourne St Office
The new Ahrens Melbourne St Office was a full turnkey project involving the design, council approvals, and complete transformation of the existing building. The works included demolishing half of the building, retaining the structural shell while installing a new steel structure, and adding feature elements such as exposed steelwork, brick boundary walls, and Mondo & Zintl cladding.
The project also included new services, a lift, stairs, glazing, and high-end finishes like timber flooring, wet area tiling, and integrated joinery.
Some of the challenges we overcame were site constraints on a busy city street, managing council permits and neighbour relations, and integrating new services with existing infrastructure. We are excited for this to be the new city headquarters for Ahrens moving forward.
