Ahrens developed this multi-level car park located in Adelaide’s CBD, which involved local subcontractors and suppliers for civil works, concrete, piling roofing as well as hydraulics, electrical and fire services. Ahrens provided the structural steel, shop detail, steel erection and metalwork.
As a result of design, construction, site and workshop teams working together, the main steelwork was erected in just over eight weeks through careful pre-planning, efficient coordination of cranes and the streamlined delivery of 235 tonnes of steel from Ahrens’ fabrication facility. Safety was a strong focus, and this particular location meant working with minimal space and limited site access, as required minimising disruption to surrounding sites and local traffic. Ahrens’ on-time and cost effective delivery led to further projects for the client.
