FCS successfully delivered the new Ultra Class Truck Workshop at Yancoal’s Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) mine in early 2024.
The large-scale, eight-bay facility was constructed over an 18-month period and forms a key part of Yancoal’s strategy to boost maintenance efficiency across its fleet of 100 trucks. FCS provided complete project management, supervision, labour, and plant for the works, with scope covering civil construction, structural steel fabrication and installation, as well as mechanical equipment. Despite challenges such as underground services and legacy infrastructure, the project was delivered on time, within budget, and with an excellent safety record. The result is a state-of-the-art facility that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the MTW team and sets the site up for continued performance through to 2037.
