Ahrens D&C QLD successfully completed an impressive 1,500m2 training hangar as part of works for the new Qantas Group Pilot Academy for client, Wagner Corporation, as well as 250m2 of associated office space and amenities.
The large hangar was comprised of an assembly room, secure parts store, office, lunchroom and amenities and is capable of housing eight light aircrafts at any given time. With a fabrication facility located close to the Wellcamp site, Ahrens were able to manufacture all of the building components locally, using the best of materials and having them quickly delivered to site.
Adhering to tight timeframes, Ahrens delivered the facility in a little under five months and provided a cost-effective and functional building solution for the client, utilising the latest in steel technology.
