Scotts Warehouse
Ahrens was commissioned to design and construct an industrial warehouse for Scotts Transport storage facility including the structural steel, cladding, concrete floors, electrical, fire, civils & dams, internal office and roller doors. The building measures 80m x 225m x 9m high.
The warehouse was designed using CEB technology, providing considerable cost savings for the client and increased internal space due to 40-metre clear spans. Previously, Ahrens built an adjacent warehouse of the same dimensions in the traditional truss design. The warehouses are used to store bottles produced in the neighbouring Amcor Glass factory and awaiting delivery.
