Ahrens D&C successfully secured the Total Tools project in Woodridge, Queensland, thanks to a strategic design innovation.
Initially, the developer faced budget overruns with a builder’s plan that included an internal full-height tilt panel wall for compartmentalisation.
Ahrens D&C proposed an alternative design that involved lowering the roof rafters to maintain Type C construction limits (under 2000m2 and 12,000m3). This adjustment allowed us to omit the costly tilt panel wall, effectively keeping the project within budget and winning the contract.
