VR Distribution Warehouse

Ahrens were trusted with the construction of VR Distribution’s new warehouse and a two-storey office building. The warehouse, spanning 6,700m2, was handed over earlier to allow the client to begin trading while the office ground floor and first floor (covering 485m2 and 405m2 respectively) were completed.
VR Distribution’s new facilities have streamlined operations, particularly with the inclusion of a state-of-the-art, computer-automated packing line in the warehouse; improving the company’s storage and processing capabilities.

The warehouse is equipped with a sunken loading dock and external canopies, ensuring efficient operations, while first floor incorporates an outdoor balcony area with feature slats that enhance the façade and create a light-filled space for staff to enjoy. A significant challenge faced during construction was the site’s substantial amounts of buried concrete, which had to be sifted through a reclaimer to manage disposal costs effectively.
