In 2011, we launched a workplace safety campaign called Ahrens Safe. The Ahrens Safe logo appears throughout our business – on our uniforms, vehicles and machinery, in workshops and on construction sites – to remind all our employees that every individual is important.
Our aim is to ensure every employee returns home safely to their family at the end of each work day.
We aim to deliver high-quality results in all areas of our business and focus on effective quality assurance and control to ensure we meet expectations of our clients and other stakeholders.
Our Group Quality Procedures outline the responsibilities and requirements of employees companywide across all day-to-day and project work and the systems and processes they must employ.
Our commitment to Zero Harm is about looking after ourselves, our workmates, our contractors, the community and the environment.
In 2022 Ahrens marked an exceptional pillar having achieved zero work injuries for several months across all worksites. The exceptional results reflect the performance, behaviour and safety leadership conducted by everyone.
At Ahrens, we strongly believe a positive health and safety environment begins at the top, and as an employer provide a culture and systems which are designed to mitigate risks for our people and continually improve the safety of our work.
We manage this support through continual communication, training and education to safeguard against incidents, we lead by example, remain open and committed, and always seek solutions to better manage health and safety.
Furthermore, our standards and procedures provide a consistent approach to managing major hazards across our businesses. We audit our operations against our standards and require our businesses to meet their health and safety performance requirements and targets.
